Safety Management System – SMS – AMTS – E-learning

Short summary

This 3-4-hour e-learning course provides aviation maintenance workers with a thorough introduction to Safety Management Systems (SMS), focusing on the theories and principles of SMS, including the role of human and organisational factors. The course is aimed at maintenance engineers, managers and all those involved in maintenance activities. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate from AM&TS, valid for 2 years, upon successful completion of the exam. The programme is based on ICAO Annex 19 and document 9859.

Objectives

This course is developed with ICAO Annex 19 and ICAO document 9859 (3rd Edition) as reference. The course is intended for personnel assigned to safety and safety-related positions in an aviation maintenance organizations or a government regulatory body who may be new to safety or Safety Management Systems or who would like a comprehensive review of SMS fundamentals in order to review, evaluate, build, or improve upon a safety management plan. This course takes about 3-4 hours to complete.

Training slides are followed up with question slides. These question slides are included in the training to test your knowledge, skills and attitude towards Safety Management System. At the end of the course you will receive a final examination. For both you need to pass with a score of 75% or more.
