Your launchpad to your Brussels Airport ID badge

To receive an airport ID badge for Brussels Airport, completing mandatory
e-learning and passing the exam is required. It is a safety standard that ensures everyone can work responsibly in an airport environment.

AHLEX helps you complete this requirement with clarity and confidence. You get access to the right learning modules, you always know what to do next, and you can count on support if something is unclear.

What do you need to do?

See the two mandatory steps below

1. Complete the training

The training is delivered online (e-learning) and is composed of two parts.

Part 1 – Security Awareness

This first part consists of two modules, followed by a test.
Module 1: Security & Safety Awareness
Module 2: Personal security and radicalisation

Part 2 – Health and Safety, working safely

This second part consists of one module, followed by a test.
Module 1: Working safely

2. Take the exam

Important note for employers!
As an employer, it is your responsibility to ensure that the candidate takes the test in person and complies with the applicable rules. In case of doubt, test results may be declared invalid.

You will only gain access to the test after completing the mandatory online training modules.

You pass the test if you score at least 6 out of 10.

Please note that you have a maximum of 2 attempts.
If you fail twice, please contact us to receive new access at +32 2 753 50 58 or by email: badgetraining@ahlex.eu

All airport ID card applicants will be tested on both parts, except for Brussels Airport Company staff and diplomats, who will only be tested on Part 1 (Security Awareness).

FAQS

See below, you will probably find the answers to your questions. And if not, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Do I get a confirmation of the exam success?

No, you will not receive a confirmation. However, you will be able to see whether you passed or failed the exam at the end of it. In the Learning Management System, you will find this on the dashboard by clicking on “Record of learning”. You have passed when both percentages reach 100%.

Where can I find my results?

You can find your results in the Learning Management System, by clicking on “Record of learning” in the dashboard.

Can I choose to leave some time between the e-learning sessions?

Ideally, you should take all e-learnings at once. After you have taken your exam, you will automatically be blocked in the system after 48 hours.

I forgot my password, what now?

Please send a mail to badgetraining@ahlex.eu to have your password reset.

Is my badge ready?

The Badge Service will notify you of the availability of your badge through your employer.

How do I make an appointment to collect my badge?

Passing the test is only one of the requirements needed to obtain the airport identification card. Only when the tests have been successfully passed and it has been communicated via the authorised badge applicant that a positive security opinion has been issued for the person, can an appointment be made to collect the airport identification card. The participant must be in possession of his/her identification card at the time of collection.

New access badge

New access badges are currently being rolled out across the airport community. The new badge is part of the Access to the Future (ACFU) project.

Designed to be future-proof, it enhances airport security and marks the first visible step in the modernisation of our access control systems.

Over the coming months, the new badge will be gradually issued to all airport employees. As a result, you may still see some colleagues wearing the previous badge. During this transition period, both badge versions will be in use.
