This course provides participants with the knowledge required to recognise and manage dangerous goods that passengers or crew members may carry in checked baggage, cabin baggage, or on their person.
The training explains the applicable IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, including prohibited, restricted, and permitted articles. Participants learn how to recognise hidden or undeclared dangerous goods, communicate baggage restrictions clearly, and take the appropriate action when an item does not comply with the applicable requirements.
The course also covers dangerous goods incident reporting and basic emergency response procedures, enabling passenger-handling personnel to contribute to the safety of passengers, crew, aircraft, and airport operations.
