The Onboarding Experience at AHLEX provides new recruits with exactly what they need to start their first day with confidence and lay strong foundations for their career at Brussels Airport. Ostend-Bruges Airport is investing in its people by offering the opportunity to every employee to prepare for the EASA Operational Level 4 Assessment in Plain English. With the support of AHLEX’s tailored training module, which aligns seamlessly with the specific needs of our airport, colleagues can upskill during working hours through a 16- or 32-hour learning track. For Ostend-Bruges Airport, this initiative represents a clear investment in both human capital and effective communication, key elements for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

I recently completed the APOC training and gained a wealth of insights. As the manager of Prague Airport OCC (which should soon transform into an APOC), I was eager for hands-on experience that I could immediately apply in my role, and this training delivered exactly that. I was genuinely impressed by the depth of knowledge, practical tools, and tips and tricks shared throughout the program. During the simulation, I was assigned the role of APOC Manager - how fitting! - and was challenged to respond under pressure in a constantly evolving scenario. It was intense, realistic, and incredibly valuable. What stood out most was the group dynamic. The collaboration and team spirit were exceptional, and together we navigated the exercise successfully. An outstanding experience from start to finish!

The APOC Manager Training Program with Airport Intelligence and Ahlex was a truly impactful experience. The strong focus on hands-on learning, especially during the soft skills sessions, made a real difference. These weren’t just theoretical discussions, but immersive exercises that led to tangible insights. The real-life crisis simulation in the VR zone was a highlight. As soon as the buzzer went off, we were thrown into a high-pressure scenario that felt incredibly real. It tested our teamwork, leadership, and decision-making in the moment. What impressed me most was how quickly our group, all strangers at the start, came together as a unified team. The expert feedback and practical tools we received are things I can apply immediately in our own APOC operations. A highly valuable and well-designed training.

The APOC Manager Training Program is one of the best trainings I’ve ever followed - both technically and thanks to the outstanding trainers. The opportunity to learn from participants with diverse backgrounds and to step into different roles broadened my perspective significantly! The soft skills focus, enriched by practical examples, offered immediate, tangible takeaways for crisis management. Even during a high-pressure simulation, it was clear how much we’d all grown, coming together as a team and putting new skills into action.

You can’t manage it if you can’t measure it! The staff of Brussels Airport Company underwent ACI Aerodrome Works training, equipping them with the necessary abilities to oversee maintenance and expansion activities while ensuring the airport's safety operations. Recently finished the forklift refresher training at the Aviation Talent Hub! The trainer's extensive experience brought great insights to the sessions. Attending my 3rd IATA CEIV refresher, this time virtually led, was a seamless experience. From providing course materials to guiding us through Zoom and exam links, the moderator ensured we were well-prepared throughout. Our seasoned trainer brought a wealth of knowledge to the session, covering the intricacies of the CEIV Pharma program. We delved into vital topics, such as the updated CEIV Pharma checklist, Temperature Control Regulations, QMS management, and handling deviations, CAPA, and risk management. The course also detailed infrastructure and equipment qualification, temperature mapping, and the complexities of the Air Freight Qualification process. The interactive discussions with participants enriched our understanding, and real-life examples illuminated the requirements. Engaging with stakeholders from the entire Pharma Cold Chain was enlightening, offering insights into various challenges and local guidelines. A valuable experience indeed. 29.09.2023

In our Airport & Aviation Industry, there are a lot of highly technical jobs. People need refresher courses to keep their knowledge and competencies up to speed. The ramp handler training went very well! I was coached throughout the training course by quality trainers with a thorough knowledge of the field. In 13 days, they taught me the basics of the job. In partnership with Aviato Academy, Liege Airport ensures that their future logistics employees gain the necessary competencies. Together we developed a specific blended blue collar warehouse program preparing the candidates for working at the airport. Currently, more than 400 people successfully passed the exam. IATA congratulates Aviato Academy on achieving the IATA CBTA Center certification. This certification is proof of Aviato Academy's commitment to offering Dangerous Goods training in line with the Competency-Based Training approach for Dangerous Goods by air, which legally comes into effect on 01.01.2023. The safe transportation of dangerous goods is a priority for the industry, with training being a crucial element. Aviato Academy will thus meet the requirements that come into force on 1 January 2023 in a timely manner. 12.07.2022

During Corona, Aviato Academy was able to offer its training courses digitally in record time. This rapid adaptation to online training has allowed us to train our personnel. Some of our employees followed the training for customs (assistant) declarants. They appreciated the interaction of the trainer and the variety of exercises and tools during this online session. 10.02.2022

Our employees who work in the restaurants and bars at Brussels Airport are in daily contact with customers. Ensuring safe operations is therefore key for Autogrill. Therefore, we ensure that our staff follows the mandatory first aid and small fire extinguisher training at Ahlex. Our staff is very positive about both the organisation and the trainers at Ahlex. This way, our employees can apply first aid on the work floor and know what and what not to do with small extinguishers in case of fire; and this in anticipation of the intervention of specialised services. In March and April, they will also follow the BA4 + BA5 training courses at Ahlex so that they can react appropriately to electricity-related risks. 17.02.2022
