Working with a forklift – Basic – 3 days (reach truck option)

Summary

This training provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently. Participants learn to perform pre-use inspections, handle and stack loads correctly, apply safe driving techniques and operate the equipment in accordance with safety regulations. Practical exercises prepare operators for everyday warehouse operations. An optional reach truck module can be included.

• Inexperienced forklift operators with little or no prior experience

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Perform a pre-use inspection of a forklift truck
• Apply safe operating and driving techniques
• Handle, transport and stack loads safely and efficiently
• Understand stability principles and load diagrams
• Identify and report defects or unsafe situations
• Operate the equipment in accordance with applicable safety regulations

My focus is on combining safety and efficiency with solid theoretical knowledge, while keeping sessions interactive, practical and clear so every participant can get the most out of the experience.
