Working with a rolling bridge – IS-011

Short summary

Working with an overhead crane requires the right knowledge and skills. During this two-day course, you will learn to operate an overhead crane safely, detect defects and prevent damage to the surroundings. You will gain insight into legislation, risk analysis, stop techniques and emergency procedures. Theory covers load handling, start-up checks and safety regulations. In practice, you will practise accurate manoeuvres, communication procedures and the correct arrest and movement of loads. The course concludes with a theoretical and practical examination. After successful evaluation, you will receive a certificate, valid for 10 years with re-evaluation after 5 years. Participants must be at least 18 years old and medically fit. Training available in Dutch and French.

Target Audience

This training is suitable for the following target group(s):

• Every employee who works with the roller bridge within his or her job description.

Objectives

After completing this training, the participant will be able to: 

• Acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to learn to work with a roller bridge in an effective and safe manner.
• Train the drivers so that they can report defects/malfunctions preventively and thus prevent accidents/injuries.
• Learn the operation and driving techniques to reduce damage to the environment due to transport.
