Summary
This refresher training updates participants on the latest safety requirements, lifting techniques and best practices for handling critical loads. Critical loads are loads with an unknown centre of gravity, without predefined lifting points, or loads requiring highly precise positioning during lifting operations. Participants refresh their knowledge of risk assessment, lifting equipment inspection, slinging techniques and safe communication to continue performing lifting operations safely and in accordance with applicable safety regulations.

- Employees responsible for lifting and moving critical loads in industrial facilities or workshops who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills
- Personnel coordinating lifting operations involving critical loads
- Riggers and signallers involved in lifting activities
Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Refresh their knowledge of the risks associated with lifting critical loads
- Apply the correct lifting equipment and slinging techniques for different lifting operations
- Inspect lifting equipment and accessories before use
- Determine the weight, centre of gravity and lifting points of a load
- Apply safe lifting procedures and communication techniques during lifting operations
- Perform lifting operations in accordance with current safety regulations and best practices
