Summary
This training provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform lifting operations involving critical loads. Critical loads are loads with an unknown centre of gravity, without predefined lifting points, or loads requiring highly precise positioning during lifting operations. Participants learn how to assess risks, select the appropriate lifting equipment and slinging methods, inspect lifting gear, and communicate effectively during lifting operations in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
Target Audience
- Employees responsible for lifting and moving critical loads in industrial facilities or workshops
- Personnel coordinating lifting operations involving critical loads
- Riggers and signallers involved in lifting activities
Objectives
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Identify and assess the risks associated with lifting critical loads
- Select the appropriate lifting equipment and slinging techniques for different lifting operations
- Inspect lifting equipment and accessories before use
- Determine the weight, centre of gravity and lifting points of a load
- Apply safe lifting procedures and communication techniques during lifting operations
- Perform lifting operations in accordance with applicable safety regulations
