Working with a forklift – Refresher- 1 day (reach truck option)

Short summary

This one-day refresher course is designed for experienced forklift operators who want to update their knowledge and skills, with an optional module for the reach truck. Theory covers safety rules, stability, load handling and recent regulatory changes. In practice, driving techniques, load handling, pedestrian interaction and warehouse driving are practised.  Participants must be at least 18 years old, medically fit and already experienced. Available in Dutch and French.

Target Audience

Forklift drivers with experience and a valid driver's license who need a refresher for their certification.

Objectives

• Learn how to safely operate a forklift.
• Prevent the risk of occupational accidents involving people, infrastructure and equipment and promote safety.
• Increase the lifespan of forklifts and reduce maintenance costs.
• Hands-on, safety-oriented training with personal attention for each participant.

With over 25 years of hands-on experience as a mobile equipment technician, I’ve developed a deep technical expertise in forklifts, reach trucks and a wide range of internal transport equipment. Today, this practical background is the foundation of my work as a trainer and instructor. I deliver training in Dutch, English and French, always tailoring my approach to suit both beginners and seasoned professionals. My focus is on combining safety and efficiency with solid theoretical knowledge, while keeping sessions interactive, practical and clear so every participant can get the most out of the experience. My mission goes beyond preparing people for certification. I aim to instill confidence and a strong sense of responsibility, ensuring that operators can handle mobile equipment not only safely and efficiently, but with true professionalism.
