Working with a reachtruck – Basics

Summary

Operating a reach truck safely and efficiently is essential to prevent accidents, injuries and damage to goods. During this training, participants acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to operate a reach truck safely, handle loads at height and apply the correct driving techniques in warehouse environments. The course combines theory and hands-on practice to prepare participants for the safe and efficient use of a reach truck.

Target Audience

• Employees whose primary task involves operating a reach truck
• Warehouse and logistics personnel working with high-bay storage systems
• Operators handling loads at height, in narrow aisles or other demanding warehouse environments

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Perform a pre-use inspection of a reach truck
• Apply safe operating and driving techniques
• Handle and stack loads safely at height
• Interpret load diagrams and apply stability principles
• Identify and report defects or unsafe situations
• Operate the equipment in accordance with applicable safety regulations

Important: safety shoes are required during the practical training.
