Birgit
With 20+ years in airfreight, I started in an airline before co-launching a freight forwarding branch in Belgium. Curious by nature, I gained hands-on experience across booking, flight planning, operations, and leadership. My expertise spans air export/import, pharma, live animals, radioactive cargo, customs, and special logistics. I currently serve as Security Manager (Regulated Agent), LQR for pharma, and Global Quality Manager. Since 2002, I’ve been a certified IATA Dangerous Goods trainer and continue to teach in schools and industry. I now focus on CBTA-based training in dangerous goods — especially radioactives — while staying active in the field. Every role I’ve held reflects my commitment to safety, compliance, and knowledge-sharing in air cargo logistics.

Since 2023, I’ve worked as a freelance consultant and IATA Independent Validator, supporting certifications in pharma, logistics, and security. I also provide Dangerous Goods training, now proudly with Ahlex. Passionate about quality and compliance, I help companies meet the highest industry standards.
