Summary
This introductory training course provides participants with a solid foundation in the airport and air cargo environment. Participants gain insights into airport operations, the key stakeholders and processes involved in air cargo, as well as the terminology commonly used in the industry. In addition, the course covers the regulatory framework, security requirements, and operational procedures necessary to work with confidence and efficiency in an airport environment.
Target Audience
- Employees (blue- and white-collar) who hold an operational position at an airport.
Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the structure and operation of an airport and the air cargo supply chain.
- Identify the main stakeholders and their responsibilities in import and export operations.
- Understand the key stages of the air cargo handling process.
- Recognise the different types of goods and their transport requirements.
- Use common airport and air cargo terminology in Dutch, French, and English.
- Understand the basic principles of air cargo pricing, security, and applicable regulations.
- Work confidently in an airport and air cargo environment.
