Summary

This training provides the essential knowledge required to identify and process dangerous goods presented as general cargo in accordance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR). Participants will learn the requirements for the classification, labelling, packaging and documentation of dangerous goods, as well as applicable baggage allowances and emergency response procedures to support safe and compliant air cargo operations.

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and classify Dangerous Goods.
  • Recognise Dangerous Goods labels and package specification markings.
  • Interpret the Shipper's Declaration and other relevant documentation.
  • Apply the allowances for Dangerous Goods carried in passenger and crew baggage.
  • Understand Dangerous Goods emergency response procedures.
  • Apply the relevant IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) during general cargo acceptance and processing.
