CTE: Conventional and Toxic Explosives

You notice something suspicious:

• Contact the site supervisor
• Move away outside the worksite zone
• Contact Airside Inspection
• Follow further instructions from Airside Inspection

Everyone must have the reflex not to touch it—that is the most important thing. Unknown objects must be left untouched; we keep our distance and notify Airside Inspection.

Existing e-learning (created in the authoring tool Adapt): this is a very well-designed training with clear visuals (images and videos). The information you need to take away from the training is very limited.

The procedure is broader, as several things also need to be arranged before starting work, while this training is intended for executors (workers and their project management). The previous training uses example scenarios that always lead to the same outcome. We are updating the existing training because the procedure is changing and the posters will be removed. Jan is still in the process of rewriting the procedure.

We could potentially just adapt the existing training, provided we know who created it and how it can be modified. A certification must, however, be linked to it.

Target audience – war explosives: we do not have internal staff performing excavation works, so it mainly concerns external contractors who carry out these works in practice, as well as internal project managers.

IMPORTANT: the topic of “war explosives” must also be known by LANDSIDE employees.
