During this initiation course, participants are introduced to the basics of first aid. They learn how to react quickly and correctly to emergencies, such as unconsciousness, breathing problems and minor injuries. The focus is on practical skills and first-aid techniques that can be directly applied in the workplace. This half-day course is ideal for employees who need a first introduction to first aid. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of participation.
This training is intended for the employee who must be deployed for the organization of first aid. This training and refresher courses ensure that the first aid worker acquires the knowledge and skills to recognize the life-threatening medical condition of persons and to apply the principles of first aid while waiting for the intervention of the specialized services
If you have previously obtained the certificate of first aid provider, you are legally required to follow at least 4 hours of refresher training each year (in accordance with the Royal Decree of 15.12.2010 on first aid). With this first aid refresher training, you ensure that your first aid certificate remains valid.
This vital training of at least 4 hours, recognised by the FPS WASO and mandatory according to the Royal Decree of 15/12/10, provides first aid providers with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide first aid to colleagues who are involved in an accident or who feel unwell. It is specifically designed for employees who are responsible for organising first aid in the workplace. Through this training and associated refresher courses, first aid providers are trained to recognise life-threatening medical conditions and to apply the principles of first aid while waiting for the specialist services.

These refresher courses are modular, with different topics covered each year, thus avoiding the same content being seen each year. After a period of 5 years, all topics from the basic training are repeated.
