CTE: Conventionele en Toxische Explosieven – Recurrent

Summary

This e-learning explains why you may encounter explosives* in the ground at Brussels Airport during excavation and earthworks.

You will learn to recognize the risks and dangers associated with explosives and discover what to do if you come across suspicious objects in the ground during your work.

Through realistic scenarios, you will learn how to respond in different situations to ensure your own safety, that of your colleagues, and the surrounding environment.

Target Audience

• This is a BAC training intended for both BAC employees and the Airport community.

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Understand why explosives may be buried on the grounds of Brussels Airport
• Understand the risks associated with these explosives and the extent of the damage they can cause to people and infrastructure
• Know what to do — and what not to do — when you encounter an unknown or suspicious object in the ground
• Correctly apply the procedure for CTE (conventional and toxic explosives)
