Summary

This practical half-day training teaches participants how to respond quickly and correctly to an incipient fire. Participants learn how fires start and spread, how to recognise different types of fires and how to select and safely use the appropriate extinguishing equipment. Practical exercises provide hands-on experience with fire extinguishers, fire blankets and wall reels.

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise the basic principles and development of a fire
  • Identify different types of fires and select the appropriate extinguishing equipment
  • Use first-response firefighting equipment correctly and safely
  • Respond appropriately to an incipient fire
  • Act correctly in the event of a fire or evacuation alarm

An additional fee of €40 per participant applies for the practical use of fire extinguishers.
