Summary
THEORY
The theoretical part of the training covers physiology and ergonomics as well as concrete examples of good and bad handling.
- Feedback from participants
- Frequency of back injury accidents
- Load versus load capacity
- Prevention and awareness (postures, avoiding overloading, physical fitness. Examples)
- Types of back problems (anatomical causes and movements)
- Use of appropriate PPE
- Motivation
PRACTICE
Practical exercises to put into practice the elements covered during theory. Putting LMRA into practice in this specific context.
- Exercises ‘manual handling’: handling loads in a safe way
- Be able to recognise risky positions and correct postures
- Know and apply different techniques to reduce the risk of back injuries and to move goods correctly
Target Audience
This training is suitable for the following target group(s):
- Workers who perform work that is stressful for the back.
- White-collar workers who want to work ergonomically
Objectives
After completing this training, the participant will be able to:
- Knowing which attention points to check before handling a load manually.
- Reduce the risk of back injury during manual handling.
- Knowing and being able to apply technical actions that prevent back strain.
