The Emergency Preparedness and Contingency Planning course guides airport operators on how to prepare for and respond to emergencies, following industry best practices within the Aerodrome Emergency Plan (AEP) framework.

Objectifs
On completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Understand the relevant ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices related to emergency preparedness and response.
- Produce better and more appropriate Aerodrome Emergency Plans (AEP) that:
- Take into account a wide range of possible events.
- Enable the airport to return to normal operations as soon as possible.
- Allow for effective coordination with the various agencies involved in the emergency response.
- Recognize the importance of training, testing, exercises and documentation in ensuring an effective emergency response.
