The Runway Safety Management course teaches methodologies and best practices to help airport operators reduce runway-related risks and achieve high standards of runway safety.

• All new employees that require initial safety training as part of their induction process.
• Existing employees that require initial or recurrent safety training.
• World Business Partners that wish to obtain an increased understanding of airside operations.
• Personnel from airport stakeholders and service providers that operate at the airport.

Objectifs

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

• Recognize industry best practices with regards to runway planning, design, maintenance and operation.
• Understand how to develop an effective runway safety program, including the establishment of a Local Runway Safety Team.
• Understand how to tailor, improve and expand on their existing runway safety programs.
• Take action to prevent runway incursions and excursions.
