An introductory aviation security training compliant with EU Regulation 2015/1998 (Art. 11.2.3.9) for personnel involved in the secure air cargo chain. The course provides essential knowledge on aviation threats, security regulations, the secure cargo supply chain, prohibited items, and emergency response procedures.
Training of persons implementing security controls for cargo and mail other than screening. It means all personnel working for a Known Consignor, Regulated Agent, or Approved Haulier who have access to clearly identified air cargo and mail and who perform security controls other than screening.
Typical participants include, but are not limited to:
Warehouse staff performing acceptance checks
Logistics and freight forwarding personnel
Drivers transporting secured cargo
Administrative staff handling cargo documentation
HR personnel involved in recruitment within secure environments
Every individual involved in the air cargo supply chain contributes to aviation security and carries a specific responsibility within their role.
After completing the training, participants will:
Understand the main threats and risks to civil aviation
Gain insight into the organization and legal framework of aviation security
Understand the structure and responsibilities within the secure air cargo supply chain
Recognize prohibited articles and security screening principles
Know how to react appropriately in emergency or security situations
Understand their individual responsibility in maintaining aviation security
Before any staff member participates in aviation security training that includes non-public security information, the Known Consignor, Regulated Agent, or Approved Haulier must ensure that:
A background check has been completed
The candidate possesses the required abilities and reliability to access sensitive security information
By registering employees for this training, the organization confirms that these requirements have been fulfilled.
