Aviation Security – Manager (EU 2015/1998 – Art. 11.2.5)

Summary

The Aviation Security Manager training provides managers with the advanced knowledge and competencies required to manage, oversee and continuously improve aviation security within their organisation. The training is compliant with EU Regulation 2015/1998, Article 11.2.5, and includes the requirements of Article 11.2.2.

Participants develop an in-depth understanding of the regulatory framework, security management responsibilities, risk and incident management, compliance monitoring and security culture. The course prepares them to translate regulatory requirements into effective security policies and practices and to coordinate aviation security across their organisation.

Target Audience

This training is intended for personnel responsible for ensuring that aviation security programmes and their implementation comply with applicable European and national requirements, as defined in EU Regulation 2015/1998, Article 11.2.5, including:

• Aviation security managers
• Compliance and security programme managers
• Operational managers with aviation security responsibilities
• Security coordinators and personnel responsible for security management systems
• Personnel responsible for organisational compliance with aviation security requirements

These roles may be found within airports, airlines, ground handlers, cargo operators, catering companies and other aviation stakeholders.

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Explain the European and national aviation security regulatory framework
• Understand the roles, responsibilities and legal obligations of aviation security managers
• Implement and maintain compliant aviation security programmes
• Assess security risks and apply appropriate mitigation measures
• Manage security incidents, reporting and corrective actions
• Monitor compliance through quality assurance, audits and inspections
• Promote a strong and proactive security culture
• Coordinate and continuously improve aviation security within their organisation

Additional information

The training methodology combines several learning formats and preteaching exercises.

The course concludes with an examination at BCAA; a minimum score of 70% required.
