This training is intended for personnel with overall responsibility for aviation security management within an organization, in accordance with EU Regulation 2015/1998 – Article 11.2.5.
It applies to individuals responsible for ensuring that aviation security programmes and their implementation comply with all applicable European and national legal provisions.
Typical participants include, but are not limited to:
Aviation security managers responsible for security programmes
Compliance managers overseeing aviation security regulatory requirements
Operational managers responsible for the implementation of aviation security procedures
Security coordinators responsible for managing aviation security systems within organizations
Personnel responsible for ensuring that organizational security policies comply with aviation security regulations
These roles may exist within various aviation stakeholders, including airport operators, airlines, ground handling companies, cargo operators, catering companies and other organizations operating within the aviation security environment.
This training ensures that managers possess the strategic knowledge, regulatory understanding and organizational perspective required to manage aviation security systems effectively and ensure full compliance with aviation security legislation.
After completing the training, participants will acquire the knowledge and competencies required to manage and oversee aviation security within their organization in compliance with applicable legislation. They will understand the relevant national, European and international regulatory framework and the responsibilities of the authorities involved in aviation security.
Participants will gain insight into quality control mechanisms such as audits, inspections, investigations and security testing. The training also provides an understanding of current threats to civil aviation, previous unlawful acts and the importance of effective security measures.
Participants will develop the ability to ensure the correct implementation of aviation security procedures, including access control, identification systems and incident reporting processes. They will strengthen their capacity to identify prohibited items, respond appropriately to security incidents and manage emergency situations.
In addition, the training addresses human factors, communication and leadership skills, enabling participants to motivate teams and promote a strong security culture within their organization.

For Belgian participants, an additional assessment at BCCA is mandatory. AHLEX will handle the registration for this assessment after completion of the training session.
