Aviation Security – Manager (EU 2015/1998 – Art. 11.2.5)

Summary

This Aviation Security Manager training provides managers with the advanced knowledge and competencies required to effectively implement, oversee, and continuously improve aviation security within their organization. The course is developed in accordance with EU Regulation 2015/1998, Article 11.2.5, which defines the training requirements for personnel responsible for managing aviation security.

Participants gain an in-depth understanding of the European and national aviation security framework, the responsibilities of aviation security managers, and the governance of aviation security systems. The training covers regulatory compliance, security risk management, incident management, quality assurance, organizational responsibilities, and the continuous improvement of security measures.

Emphasis is placed on developing a proactive security culture, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, and coordinating security activities across multiple stakeholders. Through a combination of regulatory knowledge, operational case studies, and strategic management principles, participants acquire the skills needed to lead aviation security programs, manage complex security environments, and contribute to the protection of passengers, personnel, aircraft, and airport infrastructure.

It applies to individuals responsible for ensuring that aviation security programmes and their implementation comply with all applicable European and national legal provisions.

The training methodology combines several learning formats and preteaching exercises.

The course concludes with an examination at BCAA. Minimum score of 80% requested.
