Advanced aviation security training for supervisors responsible for overseeing staff performing aviation security tasks and ensuring compliance with security procedures.
This training is intended for personnel responsible for directly supervising staff implementing aviation security controls, in accordance with EU Regulation 2015/1998 – Article 11.2.4.
It applies to individuals who oversee personnel performing security tasks defined under the aviation security regulation, including but not limited to:
Supervisors overseeing screening of persons, cabin baggage, items carried and hold baggage
Supervisors responsible for vehicle inspections and security checks
Supervisors overseeing access control procedures, patrols and surveillance activities within airport security restricted areas
Team leaders responsible for monitoring the correct implementation of aviation security procedures
Operational supervisors responsible for ensuring staff compliance with aviation security regulations
Participants must have successfully completed basic aviation security training under Article 11.2.2, as this course builds upon the foundational knowledge required for aviation security personnel.
This training ensures that supervisors possess the knowledge, leadership skills and regulatory understanding required to effectively oversee aviation security operations and ensure compliance with applicable security procedures and regulations.
After completing the training, participants will acquire the knowledge and competencies required to effectively supervise aviation security operations in compliance with applicable regulations.
They will understand the relevant aviation security legislation, the role of the competent authorities and the legal framework governing aviation security in Belgium.
Participants will develop the ability to monitor and ensure the correct implementation of security procedures, including internal quality control measures. They will also learn how to respond appropriately to security incidents, including the detection of prohibited items and unauthorized access situations, and how to follow the correct reporting procedures.
In addition, participants will gain knowledge of emergency procedures and develop the skills required to guide, mentor and motivate operational staff while maintaining high standards of aviation security.
