Aviation Security – Supervisor (EU 2015/1998 – Art. 11.2.4)

Summary

The Aviation Security Supervisor training provides the additional knowledge and competencies required to supervise personnel performing aviation security duties. The training is compliant with EU Regulation 2015/1998, Article 11.2.4, and builds on the knowledge acquired during the Basic Aviation Security Training.

Participants learn how to supervise the correct implementation of security procedures, monitor compliance, support operational personnel and respond appropriately to incidents and irregularities. The training also develops the supervisory, communication and leadership skills required to maintain effective aviation security operations and a strong security culture.

Target Audience

This training is intended for personnel directly supervising staff implementing aviation security controls, as defined in EU Regulation 2015/1998, Article 11.2.4, including:

• Supervisors of personnel screening persons, baggage and carried items
• Supervisors responsible for vehicle inspections and security checks
• Supervisors overseeing access control, surveillance and patrols
• Team leaders monitoring the correct implementation of security procedures
• Operational supervisors responsible for compliance with aviation security requirements

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Explain the roles, responsibilities and legal obligations of an Aviation Security Supervisor
• Supervise the correct implementation of aviation security procedures
• Monitor compliance and identify deviations from established procedures
• Guide, support and motivate operational security personnel
• Respond appropriately to prohibited articles, incidents and security irregularities
• Apply effective communication, leadership and decision-making skills
• Apply relevant conflict management techniques
• Contribute to internal quality control and continuous improvement
• Promote a strong security culture within operational teams
