The Security Awareness e-learning (EU Regulation 2015/1998 – Chapter 11.2.7) provides the mandatory general security awareness training for individuals who require unescorted access to security restricted areas of an airport. Developed in accordance with the requirements of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998, the course equips participants with the essential knowledge needed to understand their role in protecting civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference.
Participants learn about the principles of aviation security, the current threat landscape, suspicious behaviour, insider threats, and the importance of vigilance in the airport environment. The course also explains the applicable European and national regulatory framework, individual responsibilities, security reporting procedures, and the importance of maintaining a strong security culture.
Through interactive e-learning modules and practical examples, participants develop the awareness and confidence required to recognize potential security risks, respond appropriately to security incidents, and contribute to maintaining a secure airport environment. Successful completion of the course fulfills the general security awareness training requirement for unescorted access to security restricted areas.
