In the Security Awareness training, you will learn to:
- Understand how unlawful acts and terrorist attacks have shaped aviation — and what this means for your role today.
- Recognize current and emerging threats in a timely manner, including signs of radicalization and abnormal behavior.
- Understand how aviation security is structured and the critical role you play within it.
- Respond effectively and professionally to security incidents, supported by strong communication and an active challenge culture.
Target Audience
Ref. EU 1998/2015 – 11.2.7 – Persons requiring general security awareness training
- Personnel holding an airport identification badge requiring unescorted access to security restricted areas (airside).
- Personnel with access to secure air cargo / secure air mail, flight supplies or airport supplies.
- Employees of known suppliers (KSAS).
Objectives
In accordance with European Regulation 2015/1998 Chapter 11.2.7, persons other than passengers who must benefit from unaccompanied access to security restricted areas must follow general security awareness training.
- Knowledge of past acts of unlawful interference in civil aviation, terrorist attacks and current threats;
- Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory provisions;
- Knowledge of the objectives and organisation of aviation security in their working environment, including the duties and responsibilities of persons responsible for carrying out security checks;
- Knowledge of reporting procedures;
- Ability to respond appropriately to security incidents.
