Certificate in Airport Security – ACI online

Summary

The Certificate in Airport Security combines eight online security courses into a certificate level program that addresses the key concepts and best practices associated with airport security.

Participants completing all eight courses will gain the knowledge required to address modern airport security challenges and identify mitigation measures that are appropriate to their own airport’s threat environment.

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Better understand the aviation security landscape.  
• Describe the security measures and technologies employed at airports globally and identify those that are most appropriate for their airport environment. 
• Define the terms ‘threat’ and ‘risk’ and conduct a basic security risk assessment. 
• Explain the role of human factors in aviation security.
• More effectively promote and maintain a positive security culture across their airport.
• Better assess the effectiveness and ensure the quality of their airport security program.
• Recognize best practices for responding to security incidents.
• Identify the steps required for successful implementation of a Security Management System (SeMS).
