Summary

This Basic Civil Aviation Security Training – Airport Supplies provides the essential security knowledge required to work within the secure airport supplies chain. The training is compliant with EU Regulation 2015/1998, Article 11.2.3.10.

Participants learn about aviation security threats, regulatory requirements, security responsibilities and the protection of airport supplies destined for secure airport areas. They learn to recognise prohibited articles, follow security and reporting procedures, and contribute to maintaining the integrity of the secure supply chain.

By combining theoretical knowledge with practical examples from daily operations, the course prepares participants to apply aviation security principles confidently and effectively in their working environment.

Target Audience

This training is intended for personnel implementing security controls for airport supplies other than screening, in accordance with EU Regulation 2015/1998, Article 11.2.3.10, including personnel working for secured entities and Known Suppliers:

• Warehouse staff handling airport supplies
• Logistics and supply chain personnel
• Drivers transporting secure airport supplies
• Administrative staff handling supply documentation
• Personnel preparing or handling goods destined for secure airport areas

Objectives

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Understand the main threats and risks affecting civil aviation
• Gain insight into the organization and legal framework of aviation security
• Understand the structure and responsibilities within the secure airport supplies chain
• Recognize prohibited articles and understand security screening principles
• Know how to react appropriately in emergency or security situations
• Understand their individual responsibility in maintaining aviation security

Additional information

The course concludes with an examination; a minimum score of 80% is required.

This training, compliant with EU Regulation 2015/1998 – Article 11.2.3.9, is offered in collaboration with Special Cargo College, a training organisation recognised by the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) for this module.
