Short summary

Screening baggage, cargo and mail requires accurate knowledge of dangerous goods and their risks. During this classroom training, participants learn how to identify dangerous goods, detect hidden risks and act correctly in emergency situations. The course combines theory and practice to cover document control, risk assessment and hazard communication. The training lasts one day and concludes with an exam. With a positive evaluation, participants receive a certificate valid for 2 years. Available in English, Dutch and French.

Objectives

Certain regulations must be observed to prevent dangerous goods transported by air from endangering aircraft, passengers, or crew.

This course is designed for personnel responsible for screening passengers and crew and their baggage, cargo, or mail, e.g., security screeners, supervisors, and staff involved in implementing security procedures.

This course consists of several online modules. Upon successful completion of the course, the online examination is automatically activated. The student must achieve a score of at least 80% for this exam.

After successfully completing the exam, the student receives a training certificate valid for 2 years.
