Short summary

The Security Incident Reporting and Investigation (SIRAI) training provides aviation professionals with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to report, analyse and follow up aviation security incidents to manage security occurrences effectively and comply with ICAO and EU regulatory frameworks.
Participants learn how to improve occurrence reporting quality, conduct structured investigations and strengthen organisational safety and security management.

Target Audience

This training is designed for professionals responsible for reporting, analysing or overseeing aviation security occurrences within EU Member States and aviation organisations.

• Safety and Security Managers (OPS, Compliance & Quality)
• Occurrence Reporting Officers
• Occurrence Investigation Officers
• Security Programme Owners, Managers and Developers
• SMS and SeMS Owners, Managers and Developers
• Safety/Security Coordinators responsible for reporting systems and data quality
• Risk Management Officers
• Internal or external auditors involved in security oversight

Participants generally hold responsibility, authority or decision-making roles in security occurrence handling and investigation processes within aviation organisations such as aerodromes, airlines, ground handlers, aviation security service providers or national investigation bodies.

Additional information

Although EU regulations do not explicitly prescribe a specific course on aviation security occurrence reporting and investigation, organisations are required to ensure that personnel involved in occurrence reporting and investigation are competent and capable of performing these tasks effectively.
