ACI online – Human Factors Safety Training

Short summary

This course introduces the fundamentals of Human Factors and helps participants identify, understand, and mitigate human performance issues in the airport environment.

Target Audience

• All new employees that require initial safety training as part of their induction process.
• Existing employees that require initial or recurrent safety training.
• Personnel from all airport stakeholders and service providers that operate at the airport.
• Airport managers, supervisors or personnel with operations, safety, or compliance responsibilities.
• Personnel responsible for training and facilitating airside operational staff.
• Anyone interested in a career in airport operations and/or safety.

Objectives

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

• Identify the basic components of Human Factors and their relationship to safety.
• Describe how Human Factors are related to safe airport / airline / maintenance operations.
• Improve safety through the application of basic Human Factors strategies.
